Development of PhD research framework

 

Vietnam Maritime University (VMU) is a leading center for educating and training maritime experts, scientists providing to the national sea-ward economy of Vietnam. As of a rich history of 60 years, the University has made great contributions to the transport industry, national economy and defence.

 

VMU developed the specific education programs related to maritime industry development, in different levels (vocational, engineer, master and doctor). In recent years, VMU have constantly innovated and improved majors which adapt to rules of the world and help students easily approach knowledge of maritime sector. Currently, the University covers the group majors of Marine Science And Technology, Maritime Law, Naval Architecture And Marine Engineering, Coastal And Offshore Engineering, Shipbuilding, Environment Engineering, Transport Economics, Maritime Business, and so on.

 

To support the development of the PhD research framework in the MARE project, staff in VMU have contacted and discussed with Institute of Postgraduate Education at Vietnam Maritime University for PhD training courses. The Institute of Postgraduate Education takes the responsibility for organizing and managing of master’s degree and doctorate degree programs at VMU. Moreover, we associated with Research and Development Department, VMU for projects, scientific research projects and journal of marine science and technology.
