The MARE - Marine Coastal and Delta Sustainability for Southeast Asia project has lasted 3 years, from January 2020 to December 2023 with six main periods:
- Period 1: 15.01.2020-14.07.2020
- Period 2: 15.07.2020-14.01.2021
- Period 3: 15.01.2021-14.07.2021
- Period 4: 15.07.2021-14.01.2022
- Period 5: 15.01.2022-14.07.2022

One of fundamental targets of this project is improving the competence of officials, lecturers, IT technicians, postgraduate students by international workshops, training courses and summer schools. These events give participants opportunities to broaden their horizon, meet representatives of potential partner institutions, tighten friendship and widen the collaboration. Furthermore, these participants are able to analyze, research and apply information and knowledge from seminars, training courses and summer schools in order to foster their education system and to be well-prepared for next phases of the project.
