On December 21st, 2020, the coordinating board of Vietnam Maritime University (VMU) and the main coordinator of MARE project conducted online meeting. Two parties had discussed the difficulties VMU faced to when implementing activities of project and proposed solutions to deal with problems. Participants of VMU included Mr. Tran The Nam - Manager of VMU’s coordinating board, Ms. Dinh Thi Thuy Hang - Lecturers of Environmental Engineering Institute, VMU.
Firstly, the representatives of VMU presented general report of MARE project activities in the period 2 and dissemination plans of the year 2021.
In additional, VMU explained and analysed the process of accrediting courses. It is clear that accrediting revised courses has really taken time and efforts. Vietnam Maritime University do not accredit each individual subject but accredit the entire curriculum. To be more specific, the whole learning program will be accredited by the University level but all the courses only need the approval of Faculty level with association of lecture in charge. Especially, accreditation have to be done before courses were taught.
Furthermore, two sides consulted about the creation of “E-learning” platform. VMU team make suggestions about establishing a common and general e-platform with the direction and guidelines of the Europe to allow VMU to integrate and upload all relevant and necessary data.
